GVdialer is a software application that runs on mobile phones and connects mobile outgoing calls via your Google Voice account.

You will need your Google number and a compatible mobile phone. Make sure your mobile number is assigned to your Google Voice account as one of your registered phones. Data plan may be required to download GVdialer to your phone.

Once you enter your details on the GVdialer website we will be sending you SMS & email. Use the download link in these messages to install GVdialer on your mobile phone. Note that the link inside the email can be used only when reading the email from the mobile phone and not from a PC. Once your application is installed, you can begin making calls.

One of the greatest things about GVdialer is that you don’t have to do anything special - just dial from your regular phone keypad, contacts, speed dial or call log, and GVdialer will get your call connected via Google Voice. You should see the GVdialer dialing message appearing on your screen shortly after you dial. iPhone users should first open GVdialer to make a call, similar to using the native iPhone dialer.

GVdialer software runs in the background of your phone. It routes your outgoing calls to your Google number and connects you to your destination number. You may decide which calls are automatically routed by GVdialer in the application selection control: all calls, only international calls, only domestic calls or ask every time you make a call how to connect it.

In order to use GVdialer you must first have a Google Voice account.
If you have a GrandCentral account, then it should be upgraded into a Google Voice account any day now.
If you don't have any of these accounts, you will have to wait until Google opens registration to Google Voice.

It is not mandatory to enter the PIN on our website while downloading the application. However If accessing your Google voicemail requires a PIN, please do not forget to enter it into the application after you complete the download.

The GVdialer trial version is free of charge and valid for 30 days. The full version costs only a one time fee of $9.99 as part of an introductory offer for a limited time period. There are no monthly or usage fees.

Mobile data charges may apply by your mobile operator when downloading GVdialer or accessing Google Voice web inbox page. Your mobile operator may charge you with airtime minutes for calling to your Google number. It is highly recommended that you make your Google number a “favorite number” on your mobile plan or add it to your “friends and family” numbers. Charges from Google Voice may apply, according to the type of your call, as Google currently charges for international calls.

You may be charged for calling your Google number with airtime minutes. If you set your Google number as a favorite number on your mobile plan, charges may be reduced to zero according to your mobile plan charges.

Yes, a fully featured 30 days free trial is available. You can easily activate/upgrade the trial version to the full version anytime.

Go to GVdialer website and purchase an activation code for your trial version. Enter your personal activation code in the activation page in your GVdialer application on your phone.

The best way to save money using GVdialer is to set your Google number as a “favorite number” on your mobile plan, or add it to your “friends and family” plans. This may reduce your mobile charges substantially, according to your mobile plan. Also, the cost of international calls via GVDialer should be significantly lower than international calls connected by your mobile carrier.

Currently, you can use GVdialer from the US & Canada. When going abroad, make sure to set ‘Use GVdialer’ to ‘Off’. We will add additional countries when Google Voice becomes available internationally.

There might be a mismatch between your Google Voice account settings and your GVdialer settings. Google Voice now allows you to choose whether to use a PIN for safety when dialing through your Google Voice account, or take off the PIN for quick and easy access. The latest GVdialer release allows you enjoy the same flexibility. Follow these steps to adjust GVdialer according to your Google Voice account settings:

If you chose to use a PIN, go to ‘My Account’ inside GVdialer, enter your Voicemail PIN correctly and check ‘Use Voicemail PIN’. However, if you chose not to use a PIN, go to ‘My Account’ inside GVdialer, and uncheck ‘Use Voicemail PIN’.

Now make sure the settings on your Google Voice web account are the same. Login to your Google Voice web account, choose Settings->Phones and click 'Edit' next to your mobile phone number. Now click 'Show advanced settings'. If you want to use a PIN set 'Voicemail Access' to ‘Yes>PIN required’ and click 'Save'. If you do not want to use a PIN set ‘Voicemail Access’ to ‘Yes>PIN Not required’ and click 'Save'. Note that 'Voicemail Access' should not be set to 'No' if you are using GVdialer.

Note: If your application does not have a 'Voicemail PIN' field under 'My Account', uninstall your current version and make a new download from our website. Make sure not to use your older SMS/email.

GVdialer is locked for a single Google number for security reasons.
If you have the trial version installed follow these steps:

• Uninstall the current version
• Go to www.gvdialer.com and download a new application.

However if you have the full (paid) version, send another email to our support at support@gvdialer.com specifying your Google number & PayPal payment confirmation & we will send you a new download link.

Open GVdialer on your phone and set ‘Use GVdialer’ according to the type of calls you want to use GVdialer for (e.g. international, domestic or all calls).

Yes, GVdialer works even if you setup your phone to hide the caller ID on outgoing calls.

GVdialer supports Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian (Nokia S60 phones) and Android phones. iPhone will soon be supported (we are waiting for Apple’s approval for GVdialer on App store) and some popular feature phones like the RAZR. GVdialer will only route calls with 10 digits and up. 7 digits numbers cannot be dialed by Google Voice.

Yes, GVdialer is active immediately after installation and you can begin making calls. Note that you should see the GVdialer dialing message appearing shortly after you dial.

Open GVdialer and set ‘Use GVdialer’ to ‘Off’.

The same as making every other call. Make sure you dial a correct international prefix (011/+) before the number. Also make sure your Google Voice account is charged with sufficient credit, according to the charges applied by Google Voice.

You should see the GVdialer dialing message appearing shortly after you dial. On most phones (excluding iPhone) you will also see a progress bar shown while the call is connected via Google Voice.

On most phones you should be able to make international calls, even if the phone/provider blocks such calls. Dial the number with a correct international format (011/+) and click Send. GVdialer will connect the call using Google Voice.

iPhone users can review their recent calls using GVdialer’s own private call log. On other models the calling history with GVdialer can be viewed on the phone’s regular call log.
